The dark and winding Winnow River separates the northern and southern regions of Mabyn State. On the northern bank of the water, people live spoiled, luxurious lives. This was such a departure from Susannah's other books! i was torn between savoring every page and wanting to read it all to see what happened to Ursula, and the rest of the characters. Without giving anything away, let me just say that Ursula impersonates an inner struggle I personally experience & I found it endearing that she received her council in the way she did.I'd recommend this book to anyone who appreciates vivid character development. For me, that is the key to feeling connected to a book. The characters in UUU were quirky and yet had realistic emotions and struggles. I had a clear picture of what each of them looked like in my mind and would LOVE to see a movie based on the book someday.

This was a very different type story but I did enjoy it! I loved Ursula and her kind, forgiving heart......so much like our Father God! Looking forward to more!

This was such a beautiful, mystical story. I loved how loving, caring, and genuine Ursula was and how much she always stayed true to herself. What a magical place!
What a moving and mysterious book! This is my favorite one yet. It is rich with life lessons and truth. It makes me grateful to still be able to hug my parents.
I recently discovered this Author after stumbling upon her Whoa Susannah FaceBook page. I loved this book! had it to my door one night at around 8pm and I had finished it by the next afternoon! I absolutely loved it and could not put it down! I love the way that Ursula gets her council and also the way the author gave all of the characters such unique names. I don't want to say too much to avoid giving anything away but I highly reccomend this book!
She writes in a way that you can just imagine the people, town, and surroundings down to the tiniest detail. This story reminded me of how fragile we can be as humans. Kindness goes a long way and the ones that need it most seem to get overlooked because of our own harsh judgment and attitudes. A story of hope for the future. A great story of God's love and mercy. I think that anyone who reads this will be able to relate to it in some way. A great reminder to treat others with love, respect, and kindness. I love her style of writing. Check out her other books. I can't wait to read her next story.
If I had read a synopsis of this book before buying I wouldn't have bought it because I am not a huge fan of fantasy or dystopian societies ( not that there are too many fans of dystopian societies) but, being impressed by the author in the past I bought. This story was so well written. Ursula Underwood came alive to me and I had so much empathy for this character. Very poignant story.
